About Joshua Brooks

Joshua started his healthcare journey first joining the Army in 1992 and becoming a Pharmacy Technician always with the hopes of attending PT school. While serving as an enlisted soldier Joshua graduated in 1998 from Notre Dame College with a Bachelors in Biology. In 2000, he graduated with his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the same College. He has practiced in the Lakes Region for the past 24 years in many care settings including acute care Hospitals, Orthopedics, Sports medicine, Private practice and retirement communities.    Joshua completed 26 years service as a Major in 2018 in the Army Reserves after one deployment to Honduras and multiple other missions in and outside the US . 

 

During the past 24 years of providing Physical Therapy care in the Lakes Region he has treated people across their lifespan, including collegiate athletes, work-injured employees, post surgical care patients, pediatric patients, and everyone in between.

Joshua is a veteran of the US Army Reserves. Major Brooks, during his nearly one year, Honduras Deployment cared for many of the 600 service members on base and local Hondurans in a small community clinic C.R.I.C off base. He also flew in Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters to remote areas of Honduras to participate in multi-discipline healthcare missions to provide care to these areas.

 

Joshua has been a two-term President of his State Association Chapter and served in multiple roles within this organization. He has traveled to Washington DC in the past to shape the direction of the PT profession,  and share the needs of patients with current Congressman and Senate staffers. 

 

Joshua lives in the same community he provides patient care, alongside his wife and college-aged daughters. He has been a local coach, has served on a school principal hiring committee, and participated in the "Portrait of a Graduate" community group helping shape education of our youth.

 

Throughout his career, Joshua has worked closely with local healthcare providers having attended many surgeries, helped to streamline access to care, and worked enthusiastically with all providers to help patients return to their full health potential.

Joshua loves the White Mountains and beautiful wilderness areas of NH. While working on his personal goal of completing “The GRID” , he has hiked all forty-eight New Hampshire 4000' mountains 12 times, once in every month. He is GRID finisher #137. He also enjoys cycling, running, kayaking, and walking the family dogs.
